Signal Processing

The 3 Phoenix engineering staff has extensive experience in designing innovative signal processing techniques for real-time applications.  Past developments have included system designs and algorithms for U.S Navy systems, such as surface ship torpedo defense, torpedo sonars, total ship monitoring system, submarine imaging systems, distributed asynchronous sensors, and high volume hull-mounted submarine arrays.  This design work has included adaptive spectral and spatial processing, automated detection and classification algorithms, active signal waveform design, adaptive processing for vector sensors, continuous active system receiver processing, and innovative processing techniques for normal mode acoustic fields.

3 Phoenix engineers have participated extensively in recent Navy technical innovation initiatives such as the Acoustic-Rapid COTS Insertion (ARCI) Advanced Processor Build (APB) working groups (signal processing and automation), the surface ship torpedo DCL working group, the ADCAP torpedo APB Signal Processing Working Group, and the Navy Open Architecture Engineering Team (OAET).
