The “Object Detection Unit” (ODU) is comprised of a low power programmable multi-sensor device that detects objects and the range to the object. The module is comprised of an active, transmit and receive sonar capability that can be used for a wide range of applications:

• Monitoring the level of material in storage tank vessels (fluids or solids)
• Vehicle detection for intelligent parking management systems
• Detection of objects located in the path of railroad train crossings
