3 Phoenix, Inc. (3Pi) was awarded a Phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division (NSWC Crane) under Navy topic N08-209, “Embedded Training Techniques for Target Discrimination Systems”. Under this project 3Pi is developing an embedded training approach that uses various technologies to address the difficult training challenges associated with providing operator proficiency training for automated detection systems. While this embedded trainer approach will focus on operator proficiency training for the AN/SPS-74(V) CVN Periscope Detection Radar, our objective is to employ these technologies so that the training architecture can be reused for other system applications.
